Replace Sticky BMW X5 / X6 Inner Door Pull Handles

Sticky, melting, or peeling inner door pull handles are a common problem on BMW X5 E70 and BMW X6 E71/E72 models. This replacement kit replaces the worn inner handle structure and includes a genuine leather outer cover for a cleaner OEM-style interior feel.

This model has a special inner handle structure, so you do not need to remove the full door panel. Simply pry open the leather outer cover on the inner handle, remove the two exposed screws, take out the old sticky handle, and install the new replacement handle.

The BMW X5 E70 and X6 E71/E72 inner door pull handle has a special structure that allows replacement without removing the full door panel.

  • Use a plastic trim tool to gently pry open the leather outer cover on the inner handle.
  • After removing the outer cover, you will see 2 fixing screws inside.
  • Remove the 2 screws with the correct tool.
  • Take out the old sticky or worn inner handle.
  • Install the new SPCRSO replacement handle and secure it with the original screw positions.
  • Align the new genuine leather outer cover and press it back into place.

No full door panel removal is required. This makes the repair much easier than a traditional door handle replacement.

This is a replacement inner door pull handle kit. It includes the new inner handle and the genuine leather outer cover for the selected door position.
